## Purpose

This policy establishes minimum equipment standards for vehicles used in transportation services associated with BG SPIRIT LLC.

## Vehicle Condition

Equipment must be:

* Safe
* Roadworthy
* Properly maintained
* Legally registered
* Properly insured

## Inspection Requirements

Vehicles shall undergo:

* Pre-trip inspections
* Post-trip inspections
* Scheduled maintenance inspections
* DOT inspections when applicable

## Required Equipment

Depending on operations, vehicles may require:

* Fire extinguishers
* Reflective warning devices
* Safety equipment
* Cargo securement devices
* ELD equipment where required

## Maintenance

Drivers and owner-operators are responsible for promptly addressing equipment defects and maintenance issues.

## Out-of-Service Conditions

Vehicles determined to be unsafe or non-compliant may be removed from service until deficiencies are corrected.
